Food Buyer (Ambient)

This is an end to end trading role focused on the sourcing, buying and selling of the highest quality product at the lowest price. You will spend time building supplier relationships and understanding the customer, and always be on the lookout for new and exquisite products to wow our customers.  You will continuously analyse range performance and have a clear oversight of trends and opportunities in the market. This is an omnichannel (store, .com, airports, giftshop).

You’ll lead development and launch of OB and concession product range in line with the overall strategy for Food Halls & Restaurants, alongside the Product Developers, Chefs, Supply, VM, Retail and Marketing. Where relevant, you will also be responsible for the identification, on-boarding and ongoing management of brands operating within a concession model.

About you

Analytical, numerate and aware of the luxury sector, you have already previous experience in Buying. You understand ecommerce and omnichannel retail. With excellent interpersonal and communication skills, you will be building key relationships within Harrods, external suppliers and partners. We need you to demonstrate you have a strong commercial and business acumen, able to develop internal talent and demonstrate effective leadership to inspire the team. You’ll demonstrate excellent buying skills including supply management, price architecture, range building, quality and merchandise management.
