Head of Security

We are currently looking for a Head of Security to join our welcoming and close-knit Harrods family.  The Head of Security  will lead and inspire the department, assist in building and delivering the department strategy and ensure that the senior leadership team are set-up for success. 
 
About the Role
 
The Head of Security is responsible for the protection of the wider Harrods estate, including but not limited to Knightsbridge, Hammersmith, Thames Valley Distribution Centre (TVDC), Airports, H Beauty sites and City Road Photo Studio. In addition, the Head of Security will be the SME in matters relating to the protection and safety of Harrods, to achieve the mutual goal of maintaining a secure and safe environment for our people and our sites. 

Reporting to the Director of Security, the Head of Security will lead a large team consisting of Uniform Security, Security Control Room, Security Investigations, Security Programmes and TVDC departments and drive an industry leading security offering to the business and its stakeholders.
 
About You
 
As a senior leader operating in a diverse and highly collaborative, fast moving environment you will have: 

• Proven ability to influence and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Possesses the knowledge, skills, and ability to understand the current threat environment and conduct meaningful threat assessments.
• Strong and proven knowledge of security strategy and implementing physical security practices and technical security measures to include CCTV, access control and management / monitoring systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with internal and external clients at all levels.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking with attention to detail.
