Investigator

We’re currently looking for a Investigator to join our established Security team to protect our stock, customers, and employees.

About the role

Whether investigating the recovery of missing goods or actively patrolling the store to develop your knowledge of employees and merchandise, our Investigators are constantly on the lookout for potential offences.

About You

You will develop your expertise in a range of fields, from fraud investigation and merchandise protection to staff welfare and till investigation – you may be called upon to specialise in one or more areas as required. When a new case arises, you will receive suspects with respect, examine the evidence, conduct any further inquiries, and decide how to resolve each case. You will also gather, prepare, and give evidence at disciplinary procedures if necessary.

You'll also -

• Be impressively self-motivated; you will take it upon yourself to identify and improve areas where we might be vulnerable, as well as to train other employees on crime prevention matters.
• Keep up to date with any legislation that may affect your role.
• Have excellent interpersonal skills, working closely with a team of other Investigators.
• Liaise with employees, the public, and police on day-to-day security matters, meet with other investigative agencies and conduct inquiries on their behalf if needed.
