We are looking for a IT Business Analyst (Corporate) to join our IT team here at Harrods. You will be part of a team of Business Analysts aligned to a specific Business Domain within Harrods, defining and maintaining business processes and functions to be supported by a range of Harrods applications.
This is a 12 Month FTC position for Maternity Cover
About the role
As the IT Business Analyst you will be responsible for delivering a consistent, clear and detailed set of business requirements for Information Technology projects and programmes, analysing and documenting business requirements for key processes and producing clear, accurate, agreed documentation.
You will also:
- Break down complex problems into simple concepts, with the ability to assimilate and correlate disconnected and unrelated artefacts and conflicting information and pull it together into a cohesive whole
- Identify the core of the problem, establishing priorities with the ability to ‘think on your feet’, anticipate complications, and understand the implications of new technology and business initiatives
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
- Deliver requirement artefacts according to standard templates, including user stories, using business language, ensuring requirements are robust, unambiguous and testable
About You
The ideal candidate will be passionate about business analysis, coupled with the ability to work under pressure and a passion and hunger to continuously improve. You are focused on supporting the delivery of business value, not just within a project lifecycle, but before and after.
You will also have the following;
- Qualification in Foundation in Business Analysis or Business Analysis Practice
- Previous experience in in cooperate back office functions (e.g. HR, Finance, Security, Facilities, and POS)
- Retail background is extremely desirable
- Clear Communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent time management skills
