Mechanical and Electrical Project Manager

To work closely with the Senior M&E Project Manager to ensure consistent and high quality delivery of all building services systems across the Harrods Capital Works Programme. You will be an electrically biased engineer however should have a good understanding of all MEP systems. You will need to liaise closely with all Senior Project Managers, Concessions, Facilities Management, Fire and IT teams within Harrods in implementing mechanical, electrical and public health systems on projects from design and planning through to implementation and evaluation.

You’ll provide external consultants and Harrods team support in the design and development of mechanical, electrical and public health systems across Harrods and concessions projects. You’ll manage all mechanical electrical & public health consultants and lighting consultants in the full delivery of their services on the projects assigned. By being fully aware about Health & Safety Regulations, you’ll ensure all installations meet Harrods requirements as laid out in the Stage 2 shop fit guidelines.

About you

You’ll be an electrically biased engineer however have a holistic understanding, with previous experience of Mechanical Electrical and Public Health services related design or project management role for a retail or blue-chip organisation.  You’ll be professionally qualified in construction with an engineering related degree, HND or equivalent with a clear understanding of the principles of good design.  You’ll be experienced in construction and project management from inception to completion. 

You’ll also have:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills allied with tact and diplomacy.  
• Strong analytical and organizational skills. 
• Enthusiasm and confidence with the determination to get the job done at all costs. 
• Ability to work with, oversee and steer a design team responsible for project designs.
