Security Investigator

About You
An experienced Security Investigator, you'll provide a diligent service at all times. You're able to think outside the box and have a great eye for detail and with great communication skills, you're able to communicate matters in a professional manner both internally and externally. As an expert in the field, you will have a confident approach in training Store Management and their wider team.  

What to Expect​
In this role you will assist the Security Manager with effective management of the Security team, ensuring they carry out their duties in a diligent and effective manner. You will provide an instrumental contribution to the Security of Harrods with the objective to prevent and detect offences against the company, its staff, customers, product and assets. Your role will entail (but is not limited to):

• Identifying security aspects in respect of which the Company may be vulnerable and, where appropriate through the Security Investigations Manager, work to reduce that vulnerability
• Undertaking  investigations allocated by his/her line managers with a view to furthering the Company’s interests by the recovery of missing goods, the identification of suspects and by referral to law enforcement agencies or discipline proceedings, when appropriate
• Gathering, preparing and being ready to give evidence at Courts, Tribunals and Disciplinary hearings, as required
• Advising and assisting other staff in the preparation of evidence
• Dealing with the reception of suspects (staff or customers etc.) encountered by store detectives and uniformed security officers, to examine the evidence, conducting any further inquiries called for, and to decide and implement the appropriate disposal of the case
• Responding immediately to customer complaints, particularly concerning ‘failures to remove’ or deactivate security equipment
