Our facilities team are recruiting a Senior Engineering Manager for Electrical to be the subject matter expert of the company’s ‘end to end’ electrical infrastructure, distribution, and associated asset base to ensure Harrods remains safe, operationally stable and aligned with the quality of our brand.

About You

You will be a credible expert in Electrical facilities management in a utility based and / or business critical environment. You must have held a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) position in your previous career history and have demonstrable experience in Project Management. A natural leader, self-motivated, self-starter and able to work well under pressure. You will be well versed in BS7671 Low Voltage Electrical Inspection & Testing (18th Edition IET Wiring Regs) and be able to derive and implement a comprehensive and formal Governance Structure for all positions with the Electrical Engineering hierarchy from Senior Authorised Person (SAP) HV to Competent Person (CP) LV.

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will ensure that the electrical provision for all sites is designed, integrated, manned, operated and managed in a manner that guarantees demonstrable compliance and meets the requirements of the business in the safest and most cost-effective way. In this role you will be the Authorising Engineer for the High Voltage (HV) Infrastructure, Pressure Systems and Confined Spaces across all sites within the portfolio. You will ensure all works are carried out under a fully auditable permit system, and you will actively support the company’s environmental ambitions and targets through procurement, operation and disposal cycles.

Additionally, you will ensure that all team members are demonstrably and appropriately qualified, trained and informed, in order that all operational requirements can be addressed by the duty shift in terms of 24/7/365 Operation, Maintenance and Disaster Recovery, whilst providing leadership and direction to the team through coaching, supporting and developing to maximise performance and identify potential.
