An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administration Team Lead to join our successful Harrods Restaurants & Kitchens office team and support our daily operations.  Here at Harrods, we currently house more celebrity chefs, and exclusive dining brands than any other location in the UK. 

This role will be a fixed term contract for the duration of 12 months.

About the Role 

As an Administration Team Lead, you will be vital support for the team within the offices of Restaurants & Kitchens. This role will sit in a centralised function that supports the team operations with admin assistance, reporting, database management and tasks that arise from the senior team. 

You’ll coordinate the admin team and provide administration support for the Operations team and chefs, including but not limited to the following responsibilities: 

  • Proactively informing internal/external customers of any administration issues and ensure full solution is reached in a timely manner. 
  • Taking ownership of the processing of service charge for the Restaurants & Kitchens division
  • Driving operational excellence within the Administration team to ensure R&K stakeholders get the support needed from the function. 
  • Supporting with the processing of payroll and recharge as required.
  • Ensuring that the necessary actions, paperwork and action plans are produced for internal stakeholders to the required timelines.
  • Being responsible for cascading corporate and local communications to the team conducting daily /weekly staff briefings.
  • Maximising team performance through setting challenging but achievable goals and targets for all team members.
  • Being accountable for owning and driving the team to exceed business expectations.

About You 

You’ll have proven experience as lead administrative assistant or in a similar role and an ideally have a clear understanding of the hospitality industry. 

More specifically, you will have: 

  • The ability to work within a fast paced environment and adapt to ever changing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across a diverse team.
  • Experience working with different stakeholders – both internally and externally.
  • Effective management by flexing between training, coaching and directive leadership as appropriate.
  • Experience managing a team and planning things such as rotas, overtime, and holidays, ensuring that everything is reflected on workday and all the required processes are followed.
  • Strong effective working relationships with support functions.
