Assistant Head Sommelier
The partnership between Frantzén Group and Harrods is a monumental milestone in Harrods restaurant agenda. We are bringing the gastronomy of Studio Frantzén to the UK for the first time while unveiling a state-of-the-art flagship restaurant within our Knightsbridge store.
About the Role
The Assistant head Sommelier reports into the Head Sommelier & Restaurant Manager / General Manager and will have a 360 degree scope of all areas relating to wine list the restaurant and bar operation and is responsible for assisting in managing the wine lists for all areas that sit within the Frantzén restaurant and bar spaces and leading their area of the business in a manner that will ensure that all parties' expected standards are maintained at all times.
The role will set, lead and drive to achieve the commercial outputs across the area of business to deliver on both budgets and guests experience. The role will have a huge focus on operational excellence as the roles key attributes is delivering a world class wine experience through the set-up, availability and delivery of a best in class wine offering.
The role will have long term vision for understanding the capability of the restaurant and bar and be able to set plans, work with and influence key stakeholders within the restaurant and Harrods to support the growth and change.
About You
You will have previous experience of working within world leading, and/or exceptional dining environments managing waiting teams, operating at the highest standard and embedding the right frameworks and training opportunities to enable success through your teams.
You will bring with you a passion and enthusiasm for working within hospitality and you demonstrate this through your communication - you lead by example.
You also understand and undertake day to day operational expectations around H&S, NPS, wastage maintenance and reporting, staff coverage, cash handling procedures and be able to Identify & create sales activity for your team through the implementation of upselling programs and incentives.

About Frantzén Group
In 2008, Björn Frantzén opened his first restaurant, Frantzén in Stockholm, Sweden. The restaurant was awarded two stars in Guide Michelin after only two years in service, and its third star after six months in its current location. The Frantzén Group includes several establishments in Stockholm and is established internationally with three Michelin starred Zén in Singapore. In 2022 the group will establish 3 new restaurants internationally.
