Assistant Manager

About the Role

As Assistant Manager in this team you will support the Retail Manager to deliver the operational requirements, financial KPI’s and world class customer experience through the effective management of people.

You’ll be responsible for leading a team of Sales Associates and Specialists in providing world class customer service, demonstrating exceptional product knowledge and building quality customer relationships to achieve business goals whilst being an ambassador for the Harrods brand.

About You

With a background in management and ideally experience in retail our expectations, standards and pace will stretch and develop you. We’re a friendly team that works together and shares the pressures, but don’t under-estimate the challenges. Ours is a fast-paced environment and you’ll need:

• Previous experience leading and nurturing a team, monitoring their productivity targets to drive results
• The communication skills to make a quick, long-lasting impact in a highly skilled team.
• The ability to deliver sales actions and merchandise product on the sales floor as directed by the retail manager
• Experience having responsibility for the operational control of the floor – sale set up/take down, cash handling, effective staff deployment, stock room management
• Ability to work morning and evening shifts as well as weekends.
