About the Role

As an Assistant Manager, you take ownership of your area and lead it with clarity, confidence and purpose. You are a constant presence on the shop floor, setting the tone for service, pace and professionalism in a uniquely time sensitive, high volume environment.
 
You elevate the customer journey by:

  • Coaching your team through the standards, behaviours and service moments that define the Harrods experience
  • Building capability through regular feedback, structured development and a culture of everyday performance
  • Using data and insight to understand your business, anticipate opportunities and act decisively, from flight driven footfall patterns to international customer needs
  • Upholding operational excellence across visual presentation, stock flow and the Brilliant Basics
  • Collaborating closely with your Sales Manager and wider business functions to coordinate initiatives that shape the future of our Heathrow operation

Your leadership has a direct impact on sales, customer experience and team engagement. In a fast moving luxury environment, you bring focus, resilience and a commitment to continuous improvement.
 
About You

You are a leader who brings out the best in others. You set high expectations and support your team to reach them, creating a culture where people feel motivated, trusted and encouraged to grow. You understand the importance of psychological safety and know how to balance empathy with accountability.
 
You bring:

  • A strong retail management background
  • Experience leading teams in a fast paced retail environment
  • Commercial sharpness and confidence interpreting data to drive performance
  • The ability to coach your team to build meaningful, long term customer relationships
  • Emotional intelligence, adaptability and resilience in a constantly changing environment
  • An appreciation for operational discipline, safety standards and exceptional visual presentation
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, late evenings and weekends in line with airport trading hours

Above all, you lead with authenticity, ambition and a belief in what a high performing team can achieve together.

Due to the current demand on the Airport ID unit, new airside pass applications are currently taking approximately 5 months from point of application. Further details regarding timeframes will be provided at interview stage.
