Imports Assistant (Fixed term contract)

We have an exciting opportunity to join our finance team as an Imports Assistant on a 6 months fixed term contract.  

About the role

As Imports Assistant you will report into the Imports Assistant Manager. The purpose of the role is to provide couriers and freight forwarders with customs clearance, applications for import cites licences, approving vendor orders, and checking invoices and liaising with the buying offices for any shipment queries.

You will be a well organised ambitious individual with an ambition to succeed. This is a great opportunity for a route into an entry level finance role, and a good way to start your journey into a successful career in finance.

About You

You’ll have an un understanding of finance, and passion for numbers . It would be desirable if you have  basic Imports and shipping knowledge but not essential. You’ll have strong IT skills and be competent using all Microsoft packages, particularly excel as this will be used in your day to day. You’ll have Strong customer service focus when dealing with both internal and external stakeholders, along with excellent communication skills. You’ll have good attention to detail and the ability to prioritise, whilst working independently and as part of a wider team.
