Imports Assistant

We are looking for an Imports assistant who will report into the Imports Assistant Manager. The purpose of the role is to provide couriers and freight forwarders with customs clearance/applying for import cites licences/approving vendor orders/checking invoices and liaising with the buying offices for any shipment queries.

About You

You’ll have an un understanding of finance, and want to move into a finance role. It would be desirable if you have  basic Imports / Shipping knowledge but not essential. You’ll have strong IT skills and be competent using all Microsoft packages, particularly excel which is critical for the role. You’ll have Strong customer service focus when dealing with both internal and external stakeholders, along with excellent communication skills. You’ll have excellent attention to detail which will be evident through paperwork completed, organisation of department and sufficient stock levels.
