Day Demi Chef De Partie

Here at Harrods, we currently house more celebrity chefs, exclusive dining brands and unique food halls than any other location in the UK. As a Demi Chef De Partie, you will be joining a passionate, supportive, and award-winning production kitchen, all within our iconic Knightsbridge store.

About the Role

As a Demi Chef De Partie, your role is to act as a vital part of the team by ensuring the smooth running of your section, and providing support to the Chef De Partie and other team members. Based in the Butchery team, you will be responsible for prepping meat products for the production kitchen and restaurants. This will include tasks such as forming burgers and portioning from larger cuts.

You’ll assist the management in the planning and forecasting of stock and orders, support with the organisation, stock rotation and labelling of food that is stored. You’ll guarantee that Food Safety standards are adhered to by enforcing a high standard of hygiene and sanitation in all-food related outlets.

About You

You’ll have a strong track record of time spent within a professional kitchen, assisting in the management of your section ideally within a hotel, cruise ship or other high volume catering environment.

You’ll have great time-management skills and a strong customer focus when dealing with both internal and external parties. You’ll have exceptional interpersonal skills and good attention to detail, which will be evident through paperwork completed, organisation of department and sufficient stock levels. Having good PC literacy is a must.

• Competitive salary package of up to £14 p/h (this is made up of a generous base salary plus service charge)* 
• Set contracted hours – paid additional working hours at an overtime rate of 1.5 p/h
