Head Chef

Here at Harrods, we currently house more celebrity chefs, and exclusive dining brands than any other location in the UK. You will be joining a passionate, supportive, and award-winning dining team, all within our iconic Knightsbridge store.

About The Role

In this role you will be responsible for leading your teams on our world-class Dining Hall kitchens. You will be responsible for the operation and organisation of the kitchen by setting daily production levels and guidelines as well as delegating to the team. You will demonstrate effective management by flexing between coaching and directive leadership, also building effective relationships with support functions such as Food Halls, Restaurants, Food Safety, Distribution, Store Services and HR.

About You

You’ll have a strong track record of hospitality experience, with time spent working at a senior level within a high volume environment at a prestigious 5* hotel, cruise ship, or fine-dining AA Rosette/Michelin standard restaurant. Having experience within a grill restaurant and great knowledge about meat and breeds of cattle would be highly advantageous. 

You’ll have great time-management skills, experience working with large kitchen teams and a strong customer focus when dealing with both internal and external parties. You’ll have exceptional communicational and interpersonal skills as you will be interacting with other business areas in your day to day. You’ll ensure good attention to detail, which will be evident through paperwork completed, organisation of department and sufficient stock levels. Having good PC literacy is a must (Word, Excel and preferably SAP).
