We are recruiting for a Mens Fashion and Lifestyle Writer to join our Creative team here at Harrods.
As the Mens Fashion and Lifestyle Writer, you will look after the ideation and creation of men’s content across our digital channels, including dot com, social and email.
About the Role
Within this role you will be responsible for producing and managing site-wide copy, editorial, social copy, and any digital marketing requirements that support our Menswear and Lifestyle business. This encompasses copy for dot com including landing pages, menswear related events and organic editorials as well as marketing emails, paid social and BAU content on our Instagram @harrodsman
Partnering with internal teams across Buying, Marketing, Creative and Styling, you will work closely to align our stories across on/offline channels. Ensuring all copy is not only trade relevant but on brand: reflecting our Values and tone of voice across our digital platforms. You will bring to life a pleather of products for new and existing customers through your writing, aimed at engaging an option rich Menswear customer.
Your responsibilities will also include:
- Supporting projects within the business with in-depth knowledge of your subject area while contributing ideas and copy for special project
- Sharing responsibility for non-divisional digital copy requests such as promotions, functional site copy and service pages
- Sharing responsibility for daily proofing and subediting across all digital channels
- Representing the digital content team at in-house and external meeting
About You
The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of luxury brands in the Menswear space, across Fashion, Grooming, Tech and Lifestyle. You will understand the nuances the Luxury Retail sector as well as being an in all things content across a variety of digital platforms.
You will be an inventive storyteller at heart with a keen understanding of consumer behaviour and how to create successful content for a retail customer. You will know your Sandro from your Saint Laurent, your product knowledge must be excellent. As an innovative and blue sky thinker, you will be bursting with ideas on how to invigorate perennial shopping stories and familiar trade pushes.
Our future Mens Fashion & Lifestyle Editor will also have:
- Experience in sub-editing their own work and the work of others
- Good working knowledge of SEO
- The ability to work on several projects at once, under pressure and to tight deadlines
- A professional attitude and behaviour at all times
- Autonomous working patterns whilst working well within in a team
- Impeccable organisation
