Our School Leaver Programme, known as our Retail Academy, is a Level 3 Retail Team Leader apprenticeship; a great opportunity to develop the skills to start your career with one of the most well-known luxury department stores in the world, gain a recognised qualification and earn a salary whilst you’re doing it.

About the role

Spread across 18 months, you’ll experience luxury retail as it happens on the shopfloor with six-month placements across Food, Fashion and Home. You will learn all about the art of selling, uncover behind the scenes of luxury retail and attend various trainings to help you excel in your role and understand what it truly means to make anything possible for our customers.        

To help you gain your qualification you will attend taught sessions at the Fashion Retail Academy. You’ll have your own tutor and will be coached and supported, as well as having a friend at work to lean on who has been in your shoes. Once you’ve completed the programme, you’ll be ready to develop your career with us, whether you want to become a super seller or work your way towards a people manager position.  

Our Hiring Events will commence in March, with successful applicants being confirmed shortly after. The Retail Academy 2023 will commence in September.

About you

You may, or may not have experience within a retail environment, we can invest in your development to fill in some of the gaps and give you the tools needed to succeed, but you are passionate about people, Harrods, and providing world class customer service, going above and beyond to create moments of delight.
