Working in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team, the CSR Executive assists in the delivery of company wide CSR strategy, initiatives and communications as well as supporting the Corporate Affairs team who is responsible for the Harrods corporate reputation and brand.  You’ll develop and delivery our company-wide strategy on sustainability initiatives and charity objectives. Across the Community pillar, you’ll lead on Harrods charity partnerships strategy, engaging with local charities and foodbanks, supporting and centralizing Harrods employee fundraising and volunteering efforts.

As a CSR Executive, your key accountabilities will include identifying industry relevant issues and Harrods response, supporting the delivery of Harrods Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, managing tools used across the busines to support sustainability initiatives (e.g. Sedex, Carbon Footprint data tracker), manage Harrods Sustainability Network, manage the implementation of Harrods charity partnerships and bringing general best practice to the business.

As a CSR Executive, you’ll work closely with our Corporate Responsibility Manager to support the team in implementing Harrods CSR strategy, delivering initiatives and acting as an ambassador for more responsible practices and social investment across the business. Through a strong network of internal and external stakeholders, the CSR Executive will proactively and reactively raise the profile of Harrods CSR commitments. 

About you

With previous experience in a similar role, you’ll have a great understanding of sustainability, environment reporting, legislation and compliance requirements for the retail industry. You’ll have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build key relationships with Head of Corporate Affairs, Marcomms and Brand Experience team, Harrods Senior Leadership and Employee Experience and HR Teams. You’ll have previous project and programme management experience and excellent time-management skills. You’ll demonstrate a in depth knowledge of the legislation, trends and influences impacting and affecting the business and wider industry to help shape and better sustainability initiatives. You’ll be creative when creating and developing opportunities to communicate positive brand vision and goals. With a good eye for detail, you’ll also be flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities.
