Fresh Food- Buying Manager- 12 Month FTC

You’ll become a leading figure in one of the most exciting and fast-moving buying departments in the world. It’s a role with real influence. Working throughout the buying cycle across all channels, you’ll support the Head of in delivering their strategic vision in order to commercially drive the business and both operational models (own buy and concession).

Having worked with the Head of to set the strategy, the role will be responsible for the management of the annual plan with the support of their team and other key stakeholders within Harrods.

About you

Analytical, numerate and aware of the luxury sector, you have already proved yourself as a Buying or Category Manager within the food industry. You understand e-commerce and omnichannel retail. You can work with minimum supervision and guidance and have previous experience in merchandise, business planning, and new product development and customer insights. Additionally, you are able to develop and maintain brand relationships to ensure that Harrods is consistently presented with excellent market opportunities, as well as manage performance to maximise profitability and achieve financial objectives.

You will show leadership and will be able to accomplish employee development through coach, feedback, and training. More specifically, we are looking for someone:

• With excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• With strong customer service focus
• With computer literacy
• With excellent time-management skills and the ability and willingness to multi-task
• Willing to work weekends when necessary
• Willing to travel
• With attention to detail which will be evident through paperwork completed, organisation of department and sufficient stock levels
