The Employee Relations team at Harrods are hiring for an exciting opportunity in their team for an Employee Relations Assistant Manager.

About the Role


As an Employee Relations Assistant Manager, you’ll lead a team of seven ER Advisors, guiding them through complex casework and ensuring high standards across all employee relations matters. You’ll be the go-to expert for sensitive and high-risk cases, deputising for the ER Manager when needed, and shaping policies that keep us ahead of best practice.
 

You will also-

  • Manage and coach a team of ER Advisors, driving performance and development.
  • Leading on complex disciplinary, grievance, and performance cases, ensuring compliance with UK employment law.
  • Supporting ER policy reviews and process improvements
  • Delivering ER training to managers and HR colleagues, building capability across the business.
  • Monitoring case trends and providing insights to senior leadership.

Depending on your role, you may be fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working – this is what we refer to as ‘Hybrid’. Our hybrid working policy allows colleagues to work from home for part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs.

About You
 

You will be a confident leader with strong employee relations expertise along with people management experience. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing complex casework with team leadership and strategic input.

You will:

  • Have proven experience in managing complex ER casework, including high-risk and sensitive issues.
  • Have a solid understanding of UK employment law and ACAS guidance.
  • Be skilled in coaching and developing teams.
  • Have excellent communication and influencing abilities, effectively work with senior leadership
  • Be resilient, maintain discretion, and a have proactive approach to problem-solving.
