The Head of is responsible for merchandise selection and procurement for their directorate(s). The Head of drives their team to increase Harrods market share by exploiting opportunities to maximise profitability and sales growth through effective selection of stock / brands, stock management, merchandising and expense control. The Head of is responsible for achieving sales volume, gross margin, promotional & turnover objectives, driving through improvement strategies. Ultimately the Head of is responsible for the overall profitability of their directorate(s).

About you

The ideal candidate will drive and build relationships within womenswear (and childrenswear), and have the relevant relationships with these brands already.

  • You will be creative and commercial - with experience in pop-ups, advertising takeovers, exclusives etc.
  • You will have worked in a multi-brand, luxury retail environment, with concession as well as own-bought experience
  • They will have experience integrating concessions – specifically leading brands
  • Your leadership style will be collaborative and you will be able to join the dots across the business
  • You will also be able to challenge where needed and in turn stand-up to challenge from around the business
  • You will have a positive outlook and be naturally tenacious
  • You will have strong stakeholder management and influencing skills and be able to bring people on journey and tell the story
