We’re currently looking for full time Health and Safety Administrator to join our welcoming and close-knit Fire, Health and Safety team here at Harrods. You’ll have a wealth of administrative experience and be interested in utilising your knowledge within the team, being responsible for the overall safety of our historic building and all those who use it.

About the Role

The Health and Safety Administrator is integral to the function of the wider department, undertaking administrative projects, assignments and assessments concerning the Fire, Health and Safety (FHS) related matters. The role involves analysing existing H&S data, monthly FHS reports, regular performance against target metrics, and risk calculation criteria for assessment. The Health & Safety Administrator also acts as the first point of contact for the FHS team and is the administrative support the central health & safety activities. The role entails maintaining relationships with suppliers, managing and coordinating the FHS system and liaising with business units for site information. This role will also involve managing rotas for the FHS team, maintaining training records.

About You

You’ll be responsible for supporting the Fire, Health and Safety department by providing seamless administrative services through the development and implementation of systems, procedures and policies, and associated projects.

You’ll also:

  • Have excellent administration, interpersonal and communication skills – previous experience working within a similar administration role is essential (FHS experience preferable).
  • Have a customer service oriented mindset
  • Have great time management skills, be flexible and ready to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Be highly detail orientated in all aspects of your role.
  • Be a problem solver, asking questions and listening effectively.
  • Be collaborative in your nature, building and maintaining strong working relationships with key contacts within the business.
  • Be able to handle sensitive information with the highest level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate good MS Office skills (esp. Excel, Teams and SharePoint).
