Senior Data Engineer

The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for building, Testing and implementing data infrastructure and pipelines that collect, centralize, and curate data from multiple internal and external data sources. The candidate will have experience in database management, software engineering, deployment of machine learning models and coordinating data access, preparation and feature engineering.

About Us

In this dynamic role you will work with stakeholders to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs. The role requires a high degree of independence, while also being in partnership with Data Scientists, Business Intelligence Analysts and Information Management and Technology experts.

In this role you will manipulate and analyse complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources using a variety of tools and data analysis techniques. As the Senior Database Developer, you will develop & maintain the data pipeline to build interactive and curated data to drive business insights through tailored and intuitive data science, reporting & analytics.

About you

The role will include the manipulation and analysis of complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources using a variety of tools and data analysis techniques. The Senior Data Engineer will design, develop & maintain all parts of the data pipeline to build interactive and curated data needed to drive insights through data science, reporting & analytics. Contribute towards defining analysis best practice and standards and ensuring consistency of delivery across the team.

• Hands-on experience with BW4Hana including Smart Data Integration (SDI), SAP SLT replication and SAP Data Services to integrate SAP and non-SAP environments.
• Data integration using SAP Data Services (BODS)
• Experience with administering, monitoring, troubleshooting, analysing and resolving technical problems arises from the technical development.
• Hands-on experience with Native HANA data modelling, schema management, content import & export, data provisioning technology including SAP Data Services and Smart Data Integration (SDI).
• Experience working with SAP DI (Data Intelligence)
• Experience working with BW dataflow & different artefacts (data sources, ADSO, transformations, process chains, etc..)
