We are seeking a Visual Merchandiser with a passion for Beauty to join our team, responsible for creating engaging visual experiences that elevate the customer journey and seamlessly tie into our storewide creative narrative. You will lead 360 visual merchandising projects, designing eye-catching displays predominantly for our Beauty areas so a well-rounded knowledge of the Beauty Industry is a must, along with the ability to apply this across luxury categories including Fashion, Accessories Homeware and Food.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead Visual Merchandising projects from concept to completion. You will begin researching and creating mock ups and 2D/3D visualisations, liaise with internal and external stakeholders on logistics and create compelling visual displays that showcase our premium Beauty offerings.
The role requires you to travel fortnightly to our H Beauty Stores, we currently have 5 located in Essex, Milton Keynes, Bristol, Gateshead and Edinburgh, with the rest of your time being spent in our Knightsbridge store. Alongside this occasional overnight stays and weekend work will be required around key launches.
Other responsibilities include:
• Implement eye-catching product displays and retail theatre in order to attract and inspire customers and elevate sales.
• Stakeholder Management- Communicating across multiple stores, brands, contractors, maintenance and engineering to project manage the process from concept to completion.
• Research and mood board creation, with the use of software to create 2D/3D visualisations and mock ups.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to influence product selection and drive sales, as well as utilising your knowledge of ever-changing seasons and trends.
• Installing and setting up displays, using briefing guidelines while also having the flexibility to contribute ideas and set standards—there are no strict brand guidelines, so creativity is encouraged.
Please note – these roles require flexibility to work across multi-site locations, including occasional overnight and weekend work.
About You
As a Visual Merchandiser at Harrods, you’ll have a passion for luxury styling and beauty along with a keen eye for detail and a drive for creativity. You’ll be an excellent communicator, staying ahead of global trends and bringing fresh ideas to the team.
Whether you’re just starting out or have some experience in the field, we’re looking for someone who is eager to learn and grow.
You will also have:
• A creative flair and a demonstrable interest in visual merchandising.
• The ability to create 2D/3D visualisations and mockups using design software (we use Sketchup).
• A proactive approach with impeccable attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, brands, and suppliers on window projects and promotions.
• Excellent organisational skills, balancing both practical and project management tasks.
