As the Workday HRIS Manager, you will be the Workday product owners and be accountable for the development of functionality to build an effective employee life cycle. You will drive an outstanding employee experience, ensuring our tools and technology are market leading. You will lead a team of HRIS Analysts that are responsible for enabling our leaders, colleagues and the HR function to execute processes at pace through simple and effective design and build. You will ensure that there is a Data Governance strategy, and there is a suite of insightful Management Information produced with a regular cadence in order to aid effective decision making. The role leads on developing best practice functionality across the systems landscape in HR, building and engaging stakeholders in our technology roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, lead and maintain the Workday roadmap, driving the agenda in line with the business priorities.
- Own and oversee all projects and operations relating to HR Systems, when necessary, acting as a project manager to ensure the efficient delivery of new and improved functionality.
- Own the HR Data Governance activity, ensuring we have a program of works that delivers accurate, complete data, with the appropriate capture of HR data within Workday in line with GDPR requirements.
- Oversees the day-to-day activity of the team, managing, upskilling, and mentoring the HRIS Analysts.
- Champion of the HR operating model, ensuring the HRIS team works on a consultancy basis as Tier 3 specialists, and supports the development of Tier 0 and the upskilling of roles that act as Tier 1 and 2.
- Develops the HR management information and analytics capability, ensuring we deliver Executive, leader and HR functional reporting, to make effective business decisions and to manage operations.
- Develop and maintain the release management strategy, leading on the release cycles throughout the year, implementing new functionally to enhance our current setup.

About You
You’ll be a Workday Subject Matter Expert, acting as the Harrods lead and champion in Workday functionality and design. You’ll have functional experience in multiple Workday modules including; Absence, Learning, Performance, Time, Payroll, WD Help, Recruiter. You’ll have experience of developing, leading, and maintaining Workday roadmaps, along with driving the future agenda in line with business priorities. You’ll have strong people management skills along with experience of managing technical teams. You’ll have Strong interpersonal and engagement skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders. You’ll be able to present information in a clear way to both technical and non-technical audiences. You’ll have previous experience of Looking after an optimisation project, and a passion for making Workday work in a BAU environment.
