We’re looking for an experienced Ecommerce Operations Lead to join our IT team at Harrods.com.

Reporting directly to the Head of Ecommerce Technology, you will need to be confident in implementing new ways of working directly within your team and by gaining the support of other areas.

With your proactive and collaborative nature, you will work with a variety of different teams across the Harrods business to ensure that the team delivers seamless service. Good attention to detail is important so that you maintain high standards in delivering a robust & reliable website to our customers.

Organised and accurate, you will prioritise, manage and report for all operational issues raised for Harrods.com, ensuring available resources are utilised and scheduled accordingly and that resolutions are met within business SLA’s or targets.

Proactive and self-motivated, with a proven managerial background, you will be responsible for the management of ITIL disciplines including incident management, problem management, change management, capacity management and patch management.

To be successful, you must have Web Operations experience in a digital and ecommerce environment and excellent problem determination skills and ability to diagnose complex technical issues.

Commercially astute, you will have knowledge of the following technologies:

  • DevOps technologies, concepts and ways of working
  • Website monitoring and performance tooling (ideally Dynatrace)
  • Release and deployment tooling
  • ASP.NET/MVC 5, ASP.NET Core/MVC 6 at Enterprise level (multi server environments, caching, high traffic sites)
  • C# using Visual Studio 2015+ and TFS 2015+
  • Scripting languages such PowerShell
  • Windows Server 2012 & 2016
  • Website security & OWASP guidelines (cross-site scripting, injection attacks, etc.)
  • CDN and website performance optimisations
  • Windows, web and WCF services
  • CMS (ideally Umbraco)
  • Database maintenance, administration and performance optimisation concepts
  • Fundamental networking principles (DNS, routing, firewalls, etc.)
  • Experience of Agile SCRUM methodology
  • ITIL experience
  • Experience of a Linux Red Hat, IBM WebSphere Commerce and DB2 is very desirable
