We’ve a fantastic opportunity for a Digital Designer with experience in ecommerce to take that next step within one of the world’s biggest retail brands. You’ll create and publish high quality creative executions across al content pages for your responsive website, harrods.com. This will include Store/Service/Events/Restaurant pages, Brand pages, Product detail pages, Promotions, Campaigns, as well as Boutiques. You’ll create design that respond beautifully to all devices whilst demonstrating a user-centric approach, by ensuring all digital creative & front-end content is on brand, accessible and meets best practice standards. You’ll be responsible for taking briefs, working up initial visuals (using Sketch) for project team review, take on feedback and make amends all the way through for the preparation of assets for publishing onto the site.

You'll work closely with the Digital Team Lead and Lead Designers to ensure our site reflects our brand values as well as aligning to our design and visual direction guidelines. You’ll be working on content updates across the site, from visuals through to production using our existing module library and publishing content via our Content Management System (CMS).

About You

You’ll be passionate about delivering creative solutions that deliver for both the user and the business. You’ll have outstanding creative and graphic design skills with the ability to demonstrate clear understanding of brand identity ideally within the luxury market. With an ability to meet stringent deadlines within a fast-paced environment, you’ll have previous proven experience working in a web design role within a retail E-commerce environment, luxury brand or online editorial. To make an immediate impact in the role, you’ll also:

  • Must have an understanding and appreciation of designing to accessibility and usability standards.
  • Fluent in Sketch, the Adobe Creative Suite; Photoshop, Illustrator and In-design.
  • Sound understanding of cross browser, SEO, accessibility and usability design for the web.
  • Experience of using a CMS to upload and manage content.
