We’re looking for a talented Food & Lifestyle Writer to join our Creative Content team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

About the Role

As Food & Lifestyle Writer, you’ll be responsible for creating engaging and inspiring copy across our digital channels, with a focus on food, beverages, home, furniture, toys, and technology. You’ll play a key role in shaping how these categories come to life online, while collaborating with colleagues across Creative Content, Marketing, Trade, and Merchandising.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Writing weekly editorial features for harrods.com.
  • Producing engaging captions and stories for @harrodsfood on Instagram.
  • Creating copy for ad-hoc emails, digital marketing campaigns and paid social.
  • Updating and maintaining content pages on harrods.com, including Food Halls and Home & Furniture.
  • Pitching creative ideas and collaborating with editors, designers, social strategists and wider business stakeholders.

Depending on your role, you may be fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working – this is what we refer to as ‘Hybrid’. Our hybrid working policy allows colleagues to work from home for part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs.

About You

You will be an inventive storyteller with a flair for copy that captures attention and inspires action. With strong digital writing experience, you’ll understand how to adapt tone and style for different platforms - from short, snappy social posts to longer editorial features. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple projects with ease, and you’re excited by the opportunity to bring your creativity to a luxury retail setting.

You should also have:

  • A passion for food, home, or lifestyle, supported by either professional experience or personal interest.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Familiarity with CMS, SEO principles and data-driven insights.
