Internal Audit Manager

We are recruiting for an Internal Audit Manager to lead the delivery of a robust internal audit programme that ensures food safety, hygiene and brand standards are consistently upheld across Harrods.

About the Role

As the Internal Audit Manager, you will oversee and deliver an independent audit programme spanning restaurants, production kitchens, food halls and supporting food safety functions. You will act as a key custodian of audit performance, ensuring all non‑conformances are addressed within agreed timescales while providing clear insight, challenge and assurance to senior leadership. Your work will strengthen compliance, support continuous improvement and uphold the highest standards across the estate.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and leading the internal audit programme and strategy for Harrods.
• Conducting planned and unannounced audits, delivering clear reports and action plans.
• Identifying trends, systemic issues and opportunities to strengthen compliance.
• Collaborating with Operations, Food Safety and technologists to resolve non‑conformances.
• Presenting audit outcomes, insights and risks to senior leadership and governance forums.

Depending on your role, you may be fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working – this is what we refer to as ‘Hybrid’. Our hybrid working policy allows colleagues to work from home for part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs.

About You

In this role, you will bring strong food safety expertise, a methodical and analytical approach, and the ability to independently challenge, influence and guide stakeholders at every level. You will be comfortable managing a diverse and dynamic audit schedule, ensuring data integrity, and leading your team with clarity and purpose. Your ability to balance detail with strategic insight will enable you to strengthen governance, reduce risk and enhance overall operational performance.

You will bring:

• Experience conducting food safety audits within hospitality, retail or food manufacturing.
• Strong working knowledge of HACCP and non‑conformance management.
• A relevant qualification such as Food Safety Level 3, with lead auditor or BRCGS auditor training desirable.
