We have an exciting position for a Business Analyst to join our IT team here at Harrods. This opportunity will see you working on a project that will initially focus on building an MVP for the bespoke integration of 1-32-5 Luxury Super Brands onto our eCommerce platform, but will then move to build a BAU template for a wider cohort of Brands to integrate with. This ‘eConcessions’ model differs from a more traditional B2C fulfilment model, and sees the customer orders flow into the brands own stock holding locations for dispatch and fulfilment. This leans more towards a ‘drop-ship’ business model and relationship with brands.

About the Role

In this role you will be responsible for working with luxury brands to tease out the specific requirements for the successful integration of their Product Catalogue, Price and Stock into the Harrods system landscape systems ecosystem to enable their range to be sold on Harrods.com.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Research, assess, document and present brand integration requirements to the technical delivery teams to be challenged and designed into our overall framework architecture business needs, challenges and opportunities to resolve or improve through investment in technology and/or process improvement
  • Document requirements as detailed User Stories with clear acceptance criteria and articulate them in ways both business and technical teams understand
  • Plan, chair and facilitate workshops and sessions with both external brand partners and internal teams, to tease our, clarify and sign off requirements and capability needs brainstorming sessions and demonstrations and sharing the outputs afterwards
  • Constructively challenge brands to ensure true must-do priorities are identified and incorporated into the design
  • Show a keen eye on detail to spot risks, issues and hurdles that the overall solution design and project may need to address
  • Identify, analyse, and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. You will also manage expectations of key stakeholders throughout
  • Support Project Managers throughout the standard solution delivery lifecycle, ensuring requirements traceability and assisting with testing and training as required
  • Identify opportunities to improve the BA methodology and governance framework; taking on and implementing them with the team
  • Be an active, curious and engaged member of the Business Analysis team, fostering positive working relationships in a high performance culture

About You

This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across internal departments and with 3rd party suppliers. The role will play a pivotal part in the successful re-launch of the Harrods eConcessions Business.

Whilst the person will leverage their strong core Business Analysis experience, framework and methodology, To be successful in the context of this role, they will also need to demonstrate possess a strong  a good understanding of the Order to Cash flow in a Retail environment. This includes and of how Master Data is structured and maintained within an ERP - ideally having specific experience of working within a SAP environment. Crucially to the success of this role is experience in working within a drop-ship or Marketplace environment, where orders are fulfilled from the 3rd party brand direct to the customer, rather than our own internal stock pool. 

We are also looking for someone who is experienced in how product is integrated from an ERP into an eCommerce environment and have worked with the data flows that enable that product to be sold online through the O2C lifecycle. This includes both the back-end integration from the ERP into the eCommerce front-end for Product, Price and Inventory, as well as the Order Flow from the OMS back through an ERP and out to the brands to fulfil. The final part of the process includes closing the loop with Invoicing and Billing and an appreciation of this end of the flow.
