IT Graduate Scheme

Harrods is looking for exceptional Graduates to join our IT department as part of our 2 years IT Graduate scheme, working for the world-famous Luxury department store. It is an exciting opportunity to join the IT Team to support our evolving and dynamic business needs. As well as key foundation improvements we are also investing in the latest industry technologies to enhance our brand and customer experience. As a Graduate coming into Harrods you will have the opportunity to deliver projects, develop new technical skills whilst gaining real business experience.

Throughout this one-of-a-kind experience you will gain valuable exposure to both the technical and non-technical areas of the department. From Project Management and Business Analysis to Data Analytics, Infrastructure and Cyber Security. 

About Us

Harrods’ IT comprises of a broad and tailored offering to support out our luxury store in Knightsbridge, London and our Harrods.com website, as well as our wider Retail, Sales, Buying, Distribution, Fulfilment and Corporate functions.  Our IT offering is supported by a mix of in-house technology and 3rd party partnerships, our success is defined by our integrated and technology forward approach.

About You

You’ll have a University level qualification, e.g. undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree in a related field, e.g. computer science, business or economics. You’ll be competent using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Power Point). You’ll have strong communication and interpersonal skills with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities. You’ll have a strong customer focus and initiative to drive your own delivery and success.

To make an immediate impact on the role, you’ll also have:

• Excellent time-management skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
• Capable of organizing and producing company standard documents.
• Ability to perform duties effectively with minimum supervision and guidance.

Our promise to you

The Harrods IT Graduate Scheme consists of 5 placements within the IT Team over a 2-year period. Each Graduate will have the opportunity to rotate around the IT department giving you an insight into the growing IT landscape within Harrods. As a graduate in IT you will gain valuable exposure to both the technical and non-technical areas of the department. You’ll earn a starting salary of £28,750 with incremental pay increases as you successfully complete your rotations.

You will gain an in-depth understanding of how the various teams and systems function collaborate and ultimately how we utilise technology to provide our business and end customers with an exceptional in-store and online experience. You will develop strong leadership and communication skills through both formal courses and on the job learning. Through mentoring from senior managers and tailored training you will be supported to develop your technical and professional knowledge. Applying this to the current project portfolio and operational initiatives within Harrods will ensure that your skills are transferable, and your understanding is sound.
