We are looking for a skilled POS Test Analyst, you’ll ensure our point-of-sale systems deliver a seamless, secure and high-performance checkout experience. You will design, execute and analyse test cases covering functionality, integrations, performance and user acceptance, working closely with technical teams to detect and resolve defects ahead of every release.

About the Role


As a Point of Sale (POS) Test Analyst, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality POS solutions that are reliable, secure and aligned to business needs. You will be responsible for the full testing lifecycle, from planning and preparation through to execution, reporting and continuous improvement. This role combines technical expertise in testing with strong collaboration skills, ensuring that POS modules, integrations and third-party applications function seamlessly across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Test Planning & Preparation – Analyse business and technical requirements to design test scenarios and acceptance criteria, contribute to test plans and schedules, and maintain an up-to-date test case repository.
  • Test Execution – Perform manual and automated test cases, log results and defects accurately, and carry out end-to-end validation of POS modules and integrations.
  • Automation & Tooling – Support and maintain automated test suites, utilise automation to accelerate testing, and recommend improvements to frameworks for efficiency and coverage.
  • Integration & API Testing – Validate REST/OData interfaces and middleware flows using tools such as Postman or SoapUI, and verify data integrity with SQL and ETL testing.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance – Confirm that POS solutions meet functional, performance and security requirements, coordinating with specialist teams where needed.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration – Work closely with business analysts, developers, product owners and test leads to clarify requirements, communicate progress and manage risks.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT) – Facilitate UAT sessions, gather end-user feedback, track and resolve issues, and ensure readiness ahead of go-live.
  • Reporting & Continuous Improvement – Prepare test reports and dashboards, analyse post-release outcomes and defect trends, and recommend process improvements to enhance QA practices.

This role provides the opportunity to apply hands-on testing expertise while contributing to process improvement and innovation, helping to deliver seamless and high-performing POS experiences for the business.

About You

You will be an experienced test analyst with a strong background in software testing and a particular focus on POS and retail systems. You will bring both technical expertise and excellent communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with stakeholders while ensuring solutions are tested to the highest standard.

You will have:

  • 3+ years’ experience in software testing, with at least 2 years focused on POS or retail systems.
  • Solid proficiency in API testing using tools such as Postman or SoapUI, and hands-on experience with UI automation frameworks like Selenium, Cypress or Playwright.
  • A strong understanding of PCI-DSS compliance and retail security best practices.
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools such as Neoload, JMeter or Gatling.
  • Practical experience using test management and issue-tracking platforms such as Azure DevOps or JIRA.
  • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills to effectively document findings and engage with stakeholders.
