Senior IT Project Manager

We are seeking a strong, dynamic and fresh thinking Senior IT Project Manager who will ensure the delivery of Harrod’s Product Data and Merchandising projects - including projects that will transform Harrods SAP merchandising hierarchies and product data management.

The role will provide project management expertise and lead internal and external teams from a variety of expert technical & business disciplines to deliver new systems and functionality to the business. This will not only involve the production of detailed plans and project documentation but also continual leadership of the project team through the provision of support and guidance. 

Ensuring communication is maintained between all stakeholders throughout the project is essential, as are excellent change management skills.  Knowing who to engage with and when, to ensure the project stays on track at all times is vital.

The Senior IT Project Manager’s prime responsibility is to ensure that all organisational procedures are adhered to, objectives are set and met, and that all benefits are fully realised from the implementation of the change.  Successful delivery will be achieved through adapting both agile and waterfall methodologies as appropriate.

The Senior IT Project Manager will bring experience in ensuring assigned projects produce the required deliverables within the defined quality, time and cost constraints and allocated projects will involve close supplier management of key third parties such as Informatica, SAP, Westernacher, JDA and others.  Key stakeholders will include, but are not limited to, Distribution, IT, Enterprise Information Management, Product Management, Merchandising and Finance.

Please be advised this is an IT role and will require knowledge in areas including product data management, merchandising, supply chain and IT retail infrastructure.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Experience in a Product and Merchandising role

•  in managing large IT projects ideally with CAPEX budgets of £3M+ within the Merchandising & Product business domains of the luxury retail industry

  PMP Qualified

• Business systems or similar equivalent degree qualified

• Expert IT Project Management – managing delivery through all stages of the lifecycle (Initiation, Analysis, Design, Build and Implementation - as well as associated methods and tools).

• Working knowledge of SAP ERP Systems

• Understanding of SAP merchandise hierarchies and integration with downstream applications

• Experience of implementing systems using Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) hosted environments

• The role will be based in our Hammersmith offices
• Salary £65,000 with potential to increase further after successful completion of the probation period
