We are looking for an experienced PMO professional with direct, hands-on experience of running an IT Portfolio Management team, to head up our IT PMO Operation.

The Senior PMO Analyst will manage a small PMO team responsible for ensuring projects across the portfolio comply with the PMO standards and procedures and providing insight to senior management to help make strategic decisions around project priorities, demand management, financial management, risk & issue management, resource management and corrective action plans.

Harrods’ IT comprises of a broad and tailored offering to support out our luxury store in Knightsbridge, London and our Harrods.com website, as well as our wider Retail, Sales, Buying, Distribution, Fulfilment and Corporate functions.  Our IT offering is supported by a mix of in-house technology and 3rd party partnerships, our success if defined by our integrated and united approach to a full IT operation.

Our PMO are at the heart of the action and no day is the same, they work on a large portfolio of circa 70 projects a year and are the facilitators of innovation and adaptability at Harrods.

About You

Key responsibilities will include managing the day-to-day activities of the PMO, providing guidance on PMO policies and processes, collaborating with IT Leadership and other senior staff to develop the IT portfolio of projects and programmes. This is a highly visible role within IT and will require you to regularly engage with our IT Leadership Team and other senior managers within the department. The IT Portfolio will typically have anything from 60-70 active projects.

You will be confident working and partnering at all levels to ensure decisions are escalated to the relevant parties and considerations are made when there are changes in the project lifecycle. You will be responsible for planning the project portfolio, resourcing planning in accordance as well as leading on financial management of each project. This exciting and unique role will position you in the heart of the action in a business unlike any other.

You will ideally have the following qualifications:

  • University level qualification e.g. undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree in a related field e.g. Business, Economics, Computer Science
  • Agile qualification e.g. Agile Project Management
  • A project management qualification
  • P30
  • ITIL Foundation
  • Lean / Six Sigma

You will have relevant PMO experience and experience in an IT organisation, as well as experience in support activities that drive effective project and resource planning. Experience of supporting RAID management activities including maintenance of associated registers is also key. Planview knowledge is desired.
