Our Store Services team is looking for a Store Services Manager to provide oversight for the cleaning, waste and pest management facilities at our Knightsbridge store. 

About the Role

Your focus will be on team and people management; supporting and upskilling others to drive efficacy. You will take pride in promoting a positive, can-do culture on site; thinking strategically to allocate staff to shifts; and partner with internal stakeholders to manage all recruitment and training activity.  You will have a direct line management of a team of Supervisors, who collectively manage the daily responsibilities of over 100 day and night shift cleaning operative colleagues. 

Reporting into the Senior Facilities Manager, you will have operational oversight, requiring quick reactions to urgent issues.  You will drive Harrods’ high expectation of standards by carrying out cleaning and safety inspections on site, dealing with non-conformities as a matter of urgency and ensuring remedial action is taken.

About You

You will ideally have experience in a large, multi-faceted building, luxury or heritage establishment frequented by a huge footfall of visiting public. You’ll be used to being visible with the public and working closely with senior stakeholders. 

You will also have:

  • Experience in soft services management - specifically cleaning, window cleaning, feminine hygiene, waste management and pest control
  • Experience in a commercial environment - you can see the bigger picture and impact of your actions
  • Effective communication skills – to relay information to your team and senior stakeholders
  • A clear vision for your development
  • Associations or memberships – such as BICS, British Cleaning Council or IWFM
