We have an exciting new opportunity for an Associate Procurement Category Manager to join our team of Category Managers in delivering key projects & departmental targets.

About the role

The Associate Procurement Category Manager will support manage a UK Based multi-million pound spend. The role involves stakeholder & key supplier management. Reporting to the Category Manager, you will be required to deliver the maximum value from assigned categories under your responsibility.

This role will support the development of the categories on a rotational basis and assist in the management of the cost base by delivering opportunities that drive costs out through strong negotiation, value engineering, strengthening supplier relationships to mitigate risk and improve performance.

The Associate Procurement Category Manager will be responsible for the procurement of goods and services in Hard FM, Soft FM and  Construction categories. The role will cover strategic category management, delivery of short to long term cost improvements and supplier relationship management.

About You

We are looking for someone with a solid understanding of Procurement processes, policies, and legislation. You will have an understanding of strategic category management and delivery of short to long term cost improvements and supplier relationship management.

You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to Maintain and develop strategic external relationships, as well  a strong customer service focus when dealing with both internal and external parties. Additionally, we will need you to be PC literate (Word, Excel etc_ and demonstrate strong time-management skills and the ability and willingness to multi-task.
