About the Role 

Our Front of House teams set the scene for exceptional experiences and are an invaluable part of our Restaurants family. Bartenders across Harrods are flexible to our customers’ needs and go above and beyond to make anything possible. They know what it means to go the extra mile and nothing is too much

trouble.

The role will work closely with the Senior Bartender and Bar Manager to achieve the commercial outputs across the area of business and to deliver on exceptional guest delivery and experience. 

You will have a focus on daily operational excellence and the role’s key attributes will be delivering a world class bar experience. The main responsibilities are to support the bar team to deliver on the combined Harrods goals, as agreed with the Head Bartender and Bar Manager.

About You  

You will have a great understanding of the level of service that is expected in a fine dining environment. You are also reliable and work well in a team, being a good listener and supporting others. 

You are an excellent communicator and you can motivate your colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the operation maintaining company standards at all times. You have excellent organisational skills, customer service focused and able to work at pace whilst remaining calm and self-assured at all times.  

You will also:

• Have a comprehensive knowledge of the restaurant drinks menu and allergens as well as a good knowledge of any specials promotions. Able to answer guest queries quickly, knowledgeably and in a discreet manner in line with the highest standards.
• Engage with and interact comfortably with guests and build a working rapport in service to ensure a smooth and elegant service experience.
• Have strong knowledge of different mixing techniques, classic cocktails preparation and bar operation. Being a Bartender for you isn’t just about making and serving fantastic cocktails, it’s about creating exceptionally personalised experiences for our customers.
• Provide menu concept introduction on how the drinks concept is delivered and make recommendations based on customer preferences. 
• Ability to take food and beverage orders in a professional manner and taking every opportunity to maximise sales in a discreet manner.
• Produce mis-en-place to required specs for each drink on a daily basis.

• Hourly salary of up to £15.85 per hour (This is made up of generous base salary plus service charge*)
