We are recruiting for a Buying Assistant to join our Womenswear Designer Collections team on a Fixed-Term Contract until September 2026.


About the Role 


The role of the Buying Assistant is to provide comprehensive support to the Buying team. The Buying Assistant will work closely with the Assistant Buyer and Buyer of the category to drive commercial performance and enhance the customer experience. The Buying Assistant will help to ensure the smooth running of the Buying Office, across all channels (Store, Online & Regional Sites), and both operational models (Own Buy and Concession).


Key responsibilities: 

  • Assist in creating seasonal Look Books, showcasing key trends and product selections.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform buying decisions.
  • Support the Buyer and Assistant Buyer in selecting and quantifying product orders.
  • Preparing agendas for Buying Appointments and Trips.
  • Work closely with the Retail, Visual Merchandising, and Online Trading teams to ensure seamless product launches and displays.
  • Manage order confirmations, vendor data, and purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide weekly trade reports and sell-through analysis to assess brand and product performance.


Depending on your role, you may be fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working – this is what we refer to as ‘Hybrid’. Our hybrid working policy allows colleagues to work from home for part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs.

About You


You will have a strong understanding of the luxury industry and a genuine passion for all things designer. You stay ahead of key trends, brands, and launches within the category, combining this knowledge with a deep understanding of our customer profile to make impactful suggestions that drive trade. You can work at pace, bring forward new brand ideas and solutions, and deliver a high-class service to our brand partners.


You should have prior knowledge of the buying cycle or hold a relevant buying qualification. In addition, you are an excellent relationship builder with outstanding written and verbal communication skills. You take a solution-focused approach, pay great attention to detail, and demonstrate expert numeracy and analytical skills.


You will also possess:

  • High attention to detail and strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Effective prioritisation skills and ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SAP (preferred).
