Our Merchandising team are currently seeking a skilled Demand Planner to join the Own Label on a 12 month fixed term basis.

 

This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring forecast accuracy and inventory optimization across all channels while working for the world’s leading luxury retailer.

 

About the Role

 

In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the demand and fulfilment planning process for a portfolio of brands and categories.

Other responsibilities will also include:

  • Developing accurate demand plans and ensuring their quality across all channels.
  • Managing inventory through data-driven strategies, optimizing safety stock, reorder points, and seasonal parameters.
  • Driving forecast accuracy by analysing historical sales trends and coordinating with Buying and Retail teams for promotions, launches, and events.
  • Collaborating with suppliers to align future demand and improve intake projections.
  • Supervising and mentoring Assistant Demand Planners and Planning Assistants.
  • Implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

 

About You

 

You will have proven experience in a demand planning role, ideally with expertise in SAP. You’ll also have advanced proficiency in Excel and exceptional numerical and analytical abilities, enabling you to forecast accurately, optimize inventory, and drive data-driven decisions that enhance business performance.

You’ll also have:

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Flexibility, a strong work ethic, and commitment to Harrods' values.

Depending on your role, you may be fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working – this is what we refer to as ‘Hybrid’. Our hybrid working policy allows colleagues to work from home for part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs.
