Our Distribution team are now looking for a Dispatch Operative to support the Dispatch department in our Knightsbridge store.

As a Harrods’ Dispatch Operative, you'll play a vital part in our Knightsbridge Dispatch team. Your responsibility is to ensure the prompt delivery of customer orders and to proactively address and solve, any inquiries or concerns that may arise during these deliveries.

Please note this position works shifts between the hours of 7am-9pm (subject to change in peak periods) 5 out of 7 days of the week with regular weekend work.

About the Role

Our Dispatch Operatives play an integral role in the delivery of day-to-day operations for our dispatch department, where we thrive together in bringing moments of magic to our customers and our team.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Checking items are in perfect conditions prior to packing.
  • Packing items securely for shipping, adhering to Harrods' presentation standards.
  • Checking customs rules for order destinations.
  • Generating export shipping documentation.
  • Checking consistency between customer details on the shipping label and the receipt.
  • Organising incoming workload by prioritising and categorising orders based on their importance and destination.
  • Maintaining a composed and professional demeanour when engaging with shop floor staff.
  • Manual handling – moving packages around the Distribution Centre
  • Maintaining an organised and tidy workstation.

About You

You will have a keen eye for detail as you will be dedicated to meticulously checking the finer aspects of luxury orders and products on a daily basis. You will have a strong work ethic and the ability to problem solve and think your feet. You will be proactive and thrive on getting the job done to a high Harrods standard. You will also possess excellent time keeping and flexibility to help seamlessly support the team across various function to ensure our end goal is completed.

You will also have:

  • Good PC literacy skills.
  • Flexibility and readiness to work flexible hours/days and demonstrate the ability to adapt to the changing demands of the role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain trusted relationships at all levels in and outside of the business.
