Our Maintenance team are now looking for a Maintenance Technician to help keep our Knightsbridge store operating at the highest standard. You will play a key role in ensuring our estate is maintained beautifully and efficiently, supporting the unique environment our colleagues and customers enjoy every day.
About the Role
In this role you will be responsible for carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across our estate. You will support the Maintenance Supervisor and wider team, ensuring our store is safe, functional, and presented to the highest standards. - Support minor projects as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager.
- Liaise with colleagues across other trades to ensure work is well coordinated.
- Monitor and support external contractors where required.
- Maintain accurate updates using the Planon CAFM system.
This is a physically active role, averaging 25,000 steps a day. You will work a 44-hour, 4 on 4 off shift pattern (7:30am to 7:30pm). There are also opportunities for overtime at a rate of 1.5 x.
Harrods offers a range of company-wide benefits including subsidised medical and dental cover, discounted gym membership, and more.
About You
You will be a hands-on and adaptable technician who takes pride in your craft. With a strong foundation in carpentry and joinery, you will also bring experience across a range of fabric trades. Self-motivated and reliable, you thrive in a fast-paced environment and can work independently while being a supportive team player.
You will also have:
- A minimum City and Guilds qualification in Carpentry and Joinery.
- Experience in all aspects of carpentry and joinery.
- Secondary skills in painting, decorating, tiling, roof repairs, flooring, or locksmith tasks.
- Knowledge of relevant BS standards and regulations.
- The ability to use good judgement under pressure and adapt quickly.
- Enjoy working within a team and are a strong team player.
Qualifications such as IOSH, IPAF, or PASMA would be an advantage, and we offer training and development opportunities for the right candidate.
