We are seeking a strong, dynamic, and fresh thinking Retail Development Manager who will be accountable for supporting the growth of the Harrods Retail division; modernising our business and seeking ways to operate more productively and profitably.

Working for the Retail Director and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders across the business, the role holder will ensure Retail is a progressive function that delivers its annual objectives through both what we do and how we do it.

About The Role

There will be a broad spectrum of activity associated with the role and the successful candidate will have to juggle multiple pieces of work and priorities in order to achieve successful outcomes.  The role holder must be structured and organised but also have the ability to manage through ambiguity whilst also having the agility to pursue commercial opportunities when they arise.

A key requirement of the role holder is to have extensive knowledge of the Retail industry and Retail operations. They will be accountable for ensuring people and behavioural change is embedded in a manner that guarantees longevity and delivery of tangible benefits.

About You

You will have the ability to form strong working relationships across all departments and at director level and will integrate yourself and collaborate well with various stakeholders. You will also be:

• A driver of activity: Has the ability to multi-task and work through many opportunities and challenges at the same time, allowing the division to continuously grow and progress successfully. 

• A strong engager: Operates under the remit of the Retail Director.  As a representative of the division, they will operate with the focus, intention and integrity required to deliver the outcomes desired of the Retail leadership team.  The ability to achieve outcomes through others is pivotal to the success of the role.

• An expert communicator: Author of and deliverer of regular updates/presentations to stakeholders and Retail audiences.

• Leadership: Day-to-day management of activity that is prioritised in agreement with the Retail Director.
