Join our Stock Operations team and play a vital role in keeping Harrods running smoothly behind the scenes. As a Stock Control Specialist, you’ll ensure the accuracy and integrity of our stock, provide valuable insights, and support the efficient flow of goods across the business. You’ll work primarily within Homewares, while also supporting Furniture and Technology when needed. 


About the Role 


In this role you will be responsible for: 

  • Leading and supporting stock audits to resolve discrepancies promptly and accurately. 
  • Supervising and delegating tasks to Stock Operatives, ensuring smooth daily operations and supporting the leadership team in the efficient running of the department. 
  • Investigating and resolving negatives, Out of Stocks and invalid corrections. 
  • Providing data interpretation and actionable insights for internal stakeholders. 
  • Playing a lead role in department stocktakes and brand scans, including variance checks and reporting. 
  • Ensuring all team members are conversant with SAP functionalities and maintaining accurate administrative reports. 
  • Supporting RTV and RTS procedures, liaising with Buying teams for accurate stock movements. 
  • Coaching and training Stock Operations Associates where appropriate. 
  • Maintaining security procedures to prevent theft and stock loss. 
  • Assisting with sale preparation and takedown, ensuring timely and accurate execution. 
  • Working across Homewares and providing flexibility to assist Furniture and Technology areas when required. 


Shift pattern: 7:30am – 4:30pm, 5 out of 7 days, including 2 weekends per month.

About You 


You will be: 

  • Highly organised with excellent time-management skills and the ability to prioritise and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. 
  • A confident communicator, comfortable engaging with senior managers and leading a team when required. 
  • Skilled at delegating tasks and supporting the leadership team to ensure smooth operations. 
  • Detail-oriented and able to work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision. 
  • Experienced in stock control processes, with prior SAP knowledge being advantageous.
