Our Supply Chain Systems department are a key dynamo in maintaining the efficiency of our end to end supply chain journey and delivering bespoke solutions for real business challenges. Based at our Distribution centre in Thatcham, our team are closely partnered with our live distribution operation. This integral team are set up for success with state-of-the-art technologies and are now seeking a Supply Chain Systems Analyst to join us at this busy and exciting time.

 

This opportunity will work shift patterns in tandem with the warehouse operation from 7am-3pm or 2pm-10pm and with regular weekend commitments (1 in 3 weekends). During the pandemic our distribution center has adopted additional safety precautions, our shift patterns have been temporarily reduced with a clean break between shifts and our operation also includes social distancing measures at all times. During this unprecedented time our team and worked together to ensure our trade operation continues whilst putting the safety of our employees and customers first.

 

About us

Our Supply Chain Systems team are responsible for the functional flow, support and configuration of our supply chain systems. No day is the same, from the systems management, performance and integrity within Distribution, including automated warehouse monitoring and housekeeping, our subject matter experts uncover every step of this chain to provide improvements that are right for our business. The Supply Chain Systems Analyst will lead continuous improvement projects including process reviews, system enhancements and optimisation as well as act as a Supply Chain Ambassador promoting Harrods values.

 

About you

While our business and supply chain systems ensure and deliver a seamless experience for our customers, it has been propelling your future for years. You will have demonstrable experience developing and delivering system solutions tailor-made for complex process maps, working to identify problems before they happen and implementing solutions to deadline. You will be responsive, detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills. Able to accurately prioritize and make sound judgments whilst keeping all parties updated accordingly. Experience with SAP, or equivalent ERP systems or supply chain systems would be desirable. This job requires you to hit the ground running, immersing yourself in the business needs and working across disparate tasks to support operations and this will define your success.

 

More specifically you will work to ensure the following:

·       Working with our SAP platform (EWM and WM modules specifically) and SSI Schaefer (automated picking and packing system)

·       Minimise disruption to product flow throughout the manual and automated warehouse by isolating equipment, product flow redirection and product removal sourcing determination.

·       Liaise with internal and external IT to deliver solutions to issues and system enhancements.

·       Monitor and improve Automation systems in anticipation of and response to faults and issues.

·       Provide outstanding support for operations, setting clear direction and providing regular feedback.
