Our Distribution team are now looking for 3 apprentices to support the Distribution Function in our Knightsbridge store. As a Distribution Apprentice, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse. We work together, and we win together in bringing moments of magic to our customers.

About the Role 


In this role you will be completing a 13-month apprenticeship program, starting on Monday 2nd September 2024 and you will work towards a Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Standard. Throughout the apprenticeship you will be expected to attend monthly training session, where you will develop knowledge and skills that will enable you to have a good understanding of a fast-paced warehouse operation.  


The working hours for this role are variable, therefore you should anticipate being scheduled to work any five days within the Sunday to Saturday period and during any hours between 7am and 11pm.  


In this role you will be responsible for:
•    Maintaining accurate inventory records, performing regular stock checks, and reporting discrepancies to management.
•    Efficiently picking and packing orders according to customer requirements, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
•    Safely loading and unloading goods from trucks and lorries, whilst adhering to safety guidelines.
•    Operating warehouse equipment such as pump trucks and MHE (if required).
•    Ensuring that Housekeeping and Health and Safety standards in the warehouse are always maintained.
•    Prioritising assigned daily tasks to ensure that individual productivity is optimised.
•    Ensuring that any stock and data integrity issues are effectively communicated to the management team via the agreed process.
•    Ensuring  that the required service standards are adhered to and, where possible, surpassed and all warehouse processes are followed and adhered to at all times.


About You 


As Distribution Apprentice you will have a strong work ethic and great attention to detail as you will be checking key details of luxury orders on a day to day basis. You will be hard working, reliable, quick thinking and have the ability to take initiative. You will be a valuable team player who thrives on getting the job done to a high Harrods standard. You will have great timekeeping ability with flexibility to support the team across multiple functions with the team end goal in mind. 


You will also have:
•    GCSE or equivalent Maths & English - Grade 4 [Desirable], or are alternatively working towards Functional Skills Level 1


Please note - Eligibility for the program depends on meeting the required qualifications. You may be asked to provide scanned copies of your qualifications in advance. You must be 18 years of age or over to apply for this position.

The advert will run from Thursday 6th June until Sunday 16th June 2024. Your application will be reviewed from the 17th June 2024. Following the evaluation of applications, prospective candidates who have been deemed successful will receive invitations to participate in a telephone interview, then further succession onto an in-person assessment centre.
