We have a great opportunity as Category Manager, where you can take a step up into join role for a period of 14 months. This is a maternity cover role reporting into the Director of E-Commerce.

About the Role

In this role, you will have 3 direct line reports at Trade Manager level.  You will work closely with Marketing, Content and Creative teams to drive and challenge online metrics (visits, conversion, AOV and slippage), and work closely with the Buying & Merchandising teams to form and deliver the omnichannel Harrods strategy by division.

This role will work closely with the Head of Brand Partnerships, Concession Category Manager and teams to successfully target and implement the most relevant and profitable operational models for the branded offer at Harrods.


A very key focus of this role will leading, managing and coaching the team around you.  You will be visibly enthusiastic about people development, leading by example with encouragement and support.


About You

The successful Category Manager will need to have prior relevant experience, with superb relationship management skills. You will have the ability to demonstrate credibility with senior management and good conflict resolution skills. You will need to demonstrate a capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise workload.


You will need to ensure that a “trading” culture exists within the team, focused on optimising performance based on operational streamlining and process efficiency.
