We are looking for a Corporate Communications Executive to join the Corporate Communications team here at Harrods. You will be supporting in delivering all proactive and reactive corporate communications within our Corporate Affairs team.
The Corporate Affairs team is responsible for Harrods corporate reputation and brand, and as the Corporate Communications Executive you will have the ability to help build the Harrods corporate brand, positioning Harrods as a responsible, successful business to its network of internal and external stakeholders.
About the Role
As a proactive and strategic thinker, you will support the Corporate Communications Manager in understanding the macro and micro environment of the media landscape, both from a digital and traditional point of view, as well as potential risks to the Harrods brand, and opportunities to strengthen it. You will be responsible for all day-to-day monitoring and analysis on corporate and brand media, and helping to create and implement creative campaigns that strengthen Harrods’ corporate reputation.
You will be working closely with the Events, Sustainability and Group (ESG) team helping with Harrods’ sustainability, charity, and ESG strategy and objectives. You will also be working closely and collaboratively with other members of the communications function at Harrods – press office, internal communications, ESG, to advance a consistent and cohesive Harrods message.
You will be responsible for the day to day monitoring and reporting of Harrods corporate communication strategy to relevant internal stakeholders, which will include completing relevant and appropriate reports and documents. Internally, you will foster relationships with the International Business Development and Communications Director, other Harrods Senior Leadership, Colleague Experience, HR teams and the Harrods Crisis Management team
About You
As the Corporate Communications Executive, you will be an independent self-starter, taking initiative in identifying proactive opportunities to strengthen Harrods’ reputation through strategic campaigns and ideas.
You will have a comprehensive background and experience in your field, and be able to build connections within a network of industry contacts across multiple types of media. You will have good knowledge of policy areas related to Harrods and the wider UK business/retail/luxury industry, and understanding on how to promote Harrods to relevant stakeholders in these policy areas.
This role will require flexibility for weekend and evening rota shifts, where required by the business, and the successful candidate will need to have a flexible approach and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
