Demand Planning Assistant

We are recruiting for a Demand Planning Assistant to join the team on a Fixed Term Contract between January and May 2023. 

The Demand Planning Assistant will work with the wider team to ensure forecast consistency and accuracy for their category. Day to day, you will manage the master data, analyse reports whilst being the main point of contact for our internal stakeholders across Buying, Trading, Retail and Supply Chain.

About The Role

Within this role, you will be supporting the roll out of our new Demand and Forecasting system, which is due to go live early this year. In addition to this you will take ownership of a cluster of brands, supporting gross sales planning, optimising inventory and ensuring accurate data is inputted.

You will also be involved in:
•    Developing accurate new launch, discontinuation and aged stock forecasts across your category.
•    Managing all of the SKUs across your brands, ensuring correct safety stock parameters.
•    Actioning manual overrides and stock transfer orders for sale or promotional periods.
•    Maintaining SAP target levels for the allocation of said stock.
•    Resolving any availability issues and establishing the root cause.
•    Suggesting areas for improvement.

About You

Hailing from a Demand Planning, Forecasting or Merchandising background, you will have a keen eye for numbers and an analytical mind. You will have experience of working with supply chain software, such as JDA – as well as proven experience with SAP. 

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, with the ability to manage stakeholders both internally and externally, providing a high level of customer service at all times. This is a fast paced role, for this reason you will possess good time management skills whilst having the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and achieve deadlines. 

You will also have:
•    Experience in stock allocation & forecast accuracy.
•    Excellent PC literacy
•    Advanced Excel skill
•    An appetite for facilitating change and efficiency.

This is an exciting role, enabling your exposure to projects across the division and providing an opportunity to implement change across the function. For this reason, proven experience in project coordination or supporting the development of SAP based systems would be ideal.
