As Digital Designer you will be a key member of the digital design team within the Creative Content department, delivering creative, social-first assets for Harrods social media channels and mobile-first editorial layouts for the Harrods app.

You will help the team to produce engaging social content that is on-the-beat of platform trends, whilst maintaining the Harrods brand identity and a luxury aesthetic. You will carry the brand’s visual identity through to refined editorial app layouts, that are also innovative within the boundaries of the CMS

Reporting to the Digital Creative Lead, the Digital Designer is a key member of the Digital Design team within the Creative Content department.

About you

To excel in this role you'll have the following experiences and knowledge.

  • Produce creative and designed assets for a multitude of platforms, such as organic and paid social, as well as business departments, from fashion to fine jewellery to food.
  • Work with the design team’s creative templates to produce high-quality Instagram story designs week-on-week across Harrods’ four Instagram accounts.
  • Have a great eye for typography, layouts and an attention to detail.
  • A flare for creative story-telling and experience creating engaging and ‘thumb-stopping’ social media content.
  • Have knowledge of the social media landscape and be regularly consuming social content to remain up-to-date with trends and applying this in the form of referencing.
  • Have an understanding of responsive design and previous experience working with a CMS. 
  • Good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop and After Effects. Illustrator and Premier are a plus.
  • Some experience creating social media (Instagram/TikTok) videos and content, even for personal projects, would be a bonus.
