Executive Production Chef

Here at Harrods, we currently house more celebrity chefs, exclusive dining brands and unique food halls than any other location in the UK. As an Executive Chef for our Production Kitchen, you will be joining a passionate, supportive, and award-winning kitchen, all within our iconic Knightsbridge store.

About the Role

As the Executive Production Chef, your key responsibilities revolve around commercial, operational and leadership within Harrods Restaurants and Kitchens. The position will excel in CPU kitchen operations, running a production unit that feeds into our multiple restaurants, food halls and external locations across the entire business, including our concession partners.

The role will be directly responsible for the quality and consistency of the food offering across our restaurants, ensuring that operationally we are delivering world class experiences by a team who are well trained and motivated to want to excel. They will set the standard of work for areas like training, supply, ingredients, food quality and working environment for the chef population within the Production Kitchen.

Commercially the role will be accountable for the financial results associated to the production kitchens ensuring areas like margin, waste, stock control and PTS% KPIs are achieved across the board. They will lead forecasting, budgeting and tracking on a regular basis to support the financial goals overall for the production kitchen.

About You

You’ll have proven experience at a senior level within a large scale, high-end catering or production kitchen environment. Alongside a passion for food and drink, you’ll be well versed in setting short and long term strategies to improve overall efficiencies of the kitchen, whilst maintaining our highest quality food standards.

In addition, you’ll have great time-management skills, experienced leading large kitchen teams and a strong customer focus when dealing with both internal and external parties. You will have exceptional communicational and interpersonal skills as you will be interacting with other business areas in your day to day. You will display great attention to detail, which will be evident through paperwork completed, organisation of department and sufficient stock levels. Having good PC literacy is a must (Word, Excel and preferably SAP).
